over the years, i noticed that there was a process through which patients and i would be exploring our lives. although in my practice this was through the lens of classical chinese medicine, i have found that this process, so to speak, can be aligned with our creative journeys, our life journeys, our meditative journeys. I have taken to calling this process Mandala MappingTM.
Mandala Mapping Technique TM
the process of mapping is an important one, i think. through it, we can see where we have been, and where we care going. we can make room for what we want to invite into our lives. looking back, it seems i have been inspired by mandalas ever since i started studying tibetan buddhism in 1997. from then on, i have loved the way mandalas can not only hold a scared space for us, acting like a map themselves, but i have also been fascinated with how they represent the cosmos and our manifestation in it.
in the above image, each of the spaces in the mandala describes a process, it's own mandala, that leads you and connects you to the next phase. in the future, i will be posting more about the MMT in this space, and also teaching about it in the workshops i facilitate.

I am very interested to read more about mandala mapping, to have those littler ones fleshed out a bit more. I think I see (sort of) where you are headed...
I'm also attracted to mandalas, and I love to color or draw them for fun. Something very soothing therein.

Oh, this was very satisfying to me. As a creative individual I need structure in my process and this seems like a great circle to step into - can't wait to hear more!
